Heather and Ian Somerville

Both husband and wife have been very actively involved in our SPCA for about 20 years, with Heather being Chairman, PRO, Executive Committee member and Events Committee member in the past. She continues to be on the Events Committee and is a dedicated and extremely valued member of our volunteer team. Ian has always assisted us with event set ups and other jobs for many years too.

Malcolm Ramsay

Malcolm RamsayMalcolm has been involved in our Society for 10 years and started off assisting Anne Smith in the garden and has moved on to sorting out all our cash donations, tins and collection boxes. It’s a big job sorting out the coins in the tins and boxes and over the years Malcolm has found very interesting items in the tins – razor blades and bottle tops to boot!

Tim Farina

Tim FarinaTim has been involved in our Society for 7 odd years and is known as our “Mr Fix-It.” What wonders he can do with a broken kettle or damaged iron! Tim also fixes up broken chairs, tables and everything else he can possibly repair for us to sell in our retail shops! He is also a huge helper at our annual 1000 Paws Walk. We would be lost without him!

Robin Farina and Cynthia Wright

Robin Farina and Cynthia WrightMeet the ladies from our Sewing Team! Robin has been an enthusiastic volunteer for 7 years and is one of three very capable and creative ladies who run the sewing department at our Main Street Centre. She also is very actively involved in the 1000 Paws Walk every year and has worked tirelessly as part of the Catering team as well.
Cynthia has been an amazing addition to the Sewing team for the past 4 years. Her sewing skills continue to be of huge assistance to us – enabling us to sell more items in our retail shops.
In the 2012 year, the ladies have done wonders with all the fabric and other items that are donated to us and they spend many hours sorting through the donations that are given to us. To date, they have made 800 items of cushions, curtains, dresses and other sewing items for our shops! Well done ladies!

We support ONLY the circuses that DO NOT use animals of any kind to entertain the crowds. The use of wild animals in Circus acts is inhumane
