Dudu Abraham, Operations Manager and qualified Senior Inspector
Dudu has more than 20 years experience in SPCAs and is passionate about the wellbeing of all animals, particularly those in the disadvantaged areas.
Outreach work, particularly sterilisations, has increased enormously since Dudu became Operations Manager. As a consequence the level of awareness and the overall condition of animals in the poorer communities shows a marked improvement.
Dudu is utterly dedicated to the cause of animal welfare and is a force to be reckoned with if the situation demands it.
Gunter Oellermann, Retail Manager
Gunter’s 40 years retail experience in the formal sector before joining us in February 2007 stand him in very good stead in his position with the uMngeni SPCA. When Gunter joined us we had one charity shop. He has expanded and developed this income earning sector of our SPCA to five retail stores. He now applies his knowledge and expertise to bringing in an ever growing return from these outlets.
Renee is an active and proactive member of the Events Committee. She is incredibly passionate about the welfare of all animals and goes above and beyond to assist in fund raising and creating awareness for our Society. Renee is the proud mum of two daughters, that, like her, are extremely compassionate to our four legged friends. She is also a long time teacher at Clifton Preparatory School in Nottingham Road.
Eric is the SPCA’s newly appointed Accountant and is the main man when it comes to ensuring our books remain balanced and our budget remains stable. He brings years of accounting experience with him and is a very important asset to our Society.
Pam has been actively involved in the SPCA for 6 years. She is a member of the events committee and her and her husband, Anton, are actively and intensely involved in the 1000 Paws Walk for SPCA and she has until, recently, been the Chairwoman of the event. Pam is a dynamic and valued member of our team.
Edith is a key volunteer who plays a valuable role as Secretary of the Events Committee, Co-Chairperson of the Catering Sub-Committee and also assists in our Library. She is a huge asset to us in every way.
Njabula is a Receptionist and a Trainee Inspector. He helps out at the front desk with general office work and assists Jean and Linda when needed. He has been with the uMngeni SPCA for 18 months and is our friendly man who always has a smile on his face when you meet him.
